Telecoms Civils Lead / Ganger

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Civils Lead / Ganger in Wiltshire. 

Reporting to the Civils Manager, you will oversee teams of 2-3 civils operatives and support the smooth running of the works while maintaining high H&S standards.

You will have strong people skills and be ready to get involved in whatever your team needs. You will also have problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the desire and passion to lead a team and promote company values.

The main duties include but are not limited to:

• Managing a team of 2-3 operatives.
• Report daily activity and completions.
• Drive & Operate excavation machinery and equipment.
• Identify potential issues and provide solutions.
• Ensuring that machinery is maintained.
• Work within Health and Safety requirements. 
• Provide training for new team members.

The Ideal candidate must possess the following skills and experience:

• Minimum 2 years of industry (telecoms or Utilities) experience.
• Effective Leadership and Communications Skills.
• Self-motivated, and able to motivate others effectively.
• NRSWA Accreditation
• CSCS Card
• Experienced in using plant and machinery with relevant tickets
• Digger Ticket.
• Prior experience working across multiple terrains.
• Full UK Driving Licence (No more than 6 points)
