If you’d said 10 years ago that the future of business was in the cloud, and that it was all going Meta, you’d probably be laughed out of the office…
However, if the last couple of years of covid and the true rise of work from home, we’ve realised that laptop lifestyle isn’t just a term reserved for slightly eccentric writers travelling around south east Asia with a surf board…

We’ve all seen that remote working is not only better for the health and well-being of our employees… but it’s actually financially and environmentally responsible!
This has led us to having Zoom and Teams as a normal part of our working and home lives, as Skype drifts off a as a retired pioneer we look forward to the future of cloud working.
This week Vodafone announced its cloud communication platform in a joint venture with Ring Central, promising a more focussed business platform. And this, combined with the Zuckerberg driving force of the Meta Verse. This “future” that seemed a bit far off, a little bit sci fi, well it’s here, it’s here and it’s working.
No longer is talent reserved to those living in a commutable distance from the office, you don’t have to cough up relocation packages to get amazing talent. You just have to have the systems in place to support true remote working, essentially your office is a cloud community, a business doesn’t need a building to operate, it just needs the people.
This means that, more than ever, the IT industry is crying out for more people to retrain in coding, and cloud engineering. What was once a niche arm of IT is now a leviathan.

However, with opportunities presenting themselves across the globe, how do you find them? That’s where recruitment comes in, your travel agent to navigate the world of work for you and find you that dream job, helping you to care more about the actual occupation not the geography.
